About Us
The Central Mississippi Model Railroaders Asso. was formed in 1955. Then Treasurer Frank Noone said, "We named our club 'Central Mississippi Railroaders' because we wanted all model railroad builders throughout the Jackson area to join and take part in our fellowship." The club moved from the ICRR station to the Jackson fire station in the late 1970s and then to the DGB building in downtown Jackson.
By 1980 the club had become a "modular only" club and the name was changed to the Jackson Society of Model Engineers. In the late 1980's, the club moved to the Northpark Mall followed by a move to Metro Center. In 2005, the club moved to its current location in the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. In January of 2010, the name was changed back to the original Central Mississippi Model Railroaders Association.

Welcome to the official homepage for the Central Mississippi Model Railroaders Association! Established in 1955, the CMMRA is a scale model railroad, 501C(3) non-profit organization. We feature three beautiful layouts, HO and O Scale. The layouts are operated with a Digital Command Control (DCC) system that allows us to run multiple trains on the same track at the same time!
